Pontiac Repair: 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt, pontiac grand prix, wiper arms

Question
I have liquid, which i beleive is water, coming out of the bottom of me blower motor. When I pulled motor, to replace, entire motor was rusted out from liquid. This only seems to get wet when raining or when ac is on. I am afraid to put replacement in as it will only get ruined unless i figure out the cause of the liquid. While motor was out for a few days, it was raining, water leaked again.

Answer
Yes it is water and it is coming in from the fresh air duct in the cowl. The cowl is the area below the wiper arms. Thats what the vents in the cowl panel are for. Remove the wipers and the cowl panel and seal around the air duct on the passenger side of the car. You may also want to make a cover to put above the air duct to keep water from getting into it.
