Pontiac Repair: Bad set of gauges...., sport cluster, gauge cluster

Question
Hello, my name is Clint.  I purchased a 1995 Grand Am SE with the 3.1L V-6.  It was a used car and had it's problems.  Well, now I have mostof the problems figured out so now I'm slowly, but surely, putting the car back together.  I have fou questions that I'm hoping you could answer.

1) When I first got the car the doorlocks worked.  After sometime I had a couple different mechanics look at the car and a few days later they stopped.  I asked EVERYONE who worked on my car if they had cut something or disconnect anything, and they all stated no.  When I turn the car on and the doors are shut and I shift into car the doors lock.  However you have to manually unlock them to open the door.  What could cause this?
2)  I have the power window option and everytime I put the windw up or down the motor (for the windows) will stop.  Then I would have to wait for about 30sec. for it to move again.  Any ideas?
3)  I was told I have a blown motor mount which is the cause to a lot of the cars vibrations.  I've already replace the top one and now i'm not sure where the bottom ones are located.  One person told me it is by the transmission.  Is this true?  How many lower motor mounts do I have and how can you tell if they are bad?
4)  Last question.  I have the regular gauge cluster on my car.  I bought the sport cluster (with the tach and all) and put it on my car.  When I did...they didn't work.  I turn the lights on and the temp gauge when all the way to hot and the speedo dont work.  I figured it was the gauges so I put my old one back on and NOW it is doing the samething...did I do something wrong and don't know it?

Sorry for being so long but this is a great little car.  Even with the problems it has done its job of being a daily driver without any major downfalls. Thanks for your help.

Answer
I wiil answer your questions in the same order that you asked them.
1)The locks are working normal.
2)You have a weak power window motor. Replace the motor and lube all the window guides. Also make sure that the window regulator is not bent.
3)You probably do have a bad mount. Most of the time it is the one on the front of the motor(passenger side of car). You should check all of the mounts for being broken or in your case, soft rubber letting the mount sag.
4)You CAN NOT just switch clusters. You either damaged the wire connectors or shorted out the cluster harness.
