Pontiac Repair: 1977 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, vacuum hoses, quadra jet

Question
I am replacing the carburetor on my car from a Holley to the original Rochester Quadra jet. When I look up the numbers stamped on the Rochester in the GM factory manual they do not match the number on top which is 17053753 and on the back is 17053309. I know this is the original carb. since I have owned the car since it was new. What I am looking for is a complete diagram showing where all the vacuum hoses go. Many things got plugged, disconnected or possibly removed when I was young and stupid and did this. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Steve Kreizer

Answer
That is a good move by going back to the Quad.
There might be a vacuum hose routing decal under the hood. Some have it and some dont. You could go to your local Pontiac dealer and ask them to make a copy of what you need from the service manual, if they still have one that old, or you can try the library. They have copies of service manuals.
