Porsche Repair: 1979 928 fuel injectors, fuel injectors, flow rate

i bought a 79 928 not running replaced the complete fuel sys i think i have the wrong      injectors how can u tell one injector from another when all the part number on the part are the same except the stamped number on the top which no one lists what this number means the number that is on the injector that came w/ the car is 0 437 502 012 stamped numer is 923.  the injectors i bought are 0 437 502 012 stamped number,s are (four of the have 191 over 220), (two of them 390 over 216) and (one has 967 over 220 please help   thank you tim

Hi  Tim.

This is one of those situations where I can only infer the answer.  Injectors are normally rated in terms of flow rate in lbs/hr.  I'd assume what you are seeing is that you have three completely different injector ratings on the ol' 928.  These different injectors are used to fine-tune the engine's performance once you've got it running and stabilized.  Obviously, there's quite some value in having eight matched injectors.  The bad news for you is that the people selling eight matched injectors probably value them very, very highly.

PS.  No I don't know why some are 216's and 220's...but what's important is that all eight are the same.
