Porsche Repair: fuel pump location 75 911S?, belly pan, gas tank

First place I looked was under the belly pan as suggested by Wayne Dempsey's "101 Projects," then looked at the top of the gas tank, finally  all around under the engine and trans, and in the engine compartment.  I can hear it struggling, but I can't find it.  Could it be hidden behind the motor?

I have replaced the fuel filter and have a new pump from Express Parts that I hope to be able use.

Hello again Gary.

Here's the answer...I hope: "On a '75, the pump is mounted on a bracket that is welded right next to the left side rear swaybar mount".

Now go find it and replace it.

p.s.  Apperently there were forward and REAR-mounted pumps in that age range.
