RV Repair: 12V short in Scamp Trailer, negative battery cable, amp settings

Question
I have a 1980 Scamp Trailer and something is draining the battery quick.  I assume there has to be a short somewhere.  I did find an area near the refridgerator hatch outside, where the insulation on a splice was gone, and the wires were hot and blackened.  I replaced, wrapped in electrical tape, and no more hot wires.

However the battery still drains exceptionally fast , it is a Group 27.

Any suggestions oh the best way to find this current drain.  Everything is drirect hard wired in, no circuit breaker nor junction box for 12V.

Thanks. . jimbo

Answer
Yes I can try to help.  Do not have the RV plugged into the house power for this proceedure.

First, disconnect your negative battery cable.  Then put a DVOM in line with the battery terminal and negative cable.  Put your dvom on dc amps.  Make sure your dvom leads are plugged into the appropriate places for amp settings.  You will see a amp draw.  Start turning off breakers in your breaker panel.  You will see the amp draw fall off to zero when you found the right circuit.  Now find out what on this circuit could cause this problem.
