pop up won't stay up when cranked up.

sounds like your cable system brake is not locking.  You will want to remove the wood under the front bed, at the floor (looks like a box that runs the lentgh of the bed).  Once in there, have someone operate the crank.  Make sure something is not broken, misaligned, or need adjustment.  You might be able to see this from under the bench seat, if your table is in the front; rahter than removing the whole wood box.
