Engine light on, code P1495 showing. Where is (LDP) Pump and solenoid located?

Hi Darrell,
The vapor recovery canister and the leak detection pump and solenoid are best accessed from under the car and you will find them on the driver's side of the engine compartment. The pump/solenoid has three wires (dark blue/white that carries 12v, white/dark green from pin 77 of the pcm controls the solenoid, and yellow that detects whether the pump is running and comes from pin 72 of the pcm). One of its  hoses connects to the canister nearby. The sway bar bracket has to be loosened to remove the pump bracket, and then the pump and bracket can be removed as a single assembly if necessary.
To check out the code you would want to be sure you have 12v on the dark blue/white when the ignition is in the run position, and then verify that the white/dark green is connected to pin 77 and also that it is not grounded. If that checks out, then the pump is probably bad.
