RV Repair: RV Cabinets, luan, water damage

Question
Hi, I have a 2003 31ft prowler. This project started as a simple one, changing the carpet in our trailer. We removed the old carpet and lino and have found some water damage, mold in a few sections. I want to cut out the bad section and replace it except that I have to remove some cabinets, I read on an earlier post that some are screwed on from the outside and from underneath, what is the best way to deal with the screws from the outside wall? i dont want to break anything, I was thinking of cutting them with a reciprocating saw but hoped you might have another suggestion??? Thanks

Answer
saws all is the best answer, unless you want to just cut around the cabinet walls, leaving the wall intact.  Then replace the cut out with an exact fit.

The cabinets are pretty solidly installed.  they go in before the walls go up.  there is more to that than replacing them in the house.  they provide structure and it is like removing some unibody parts.  They may never look right again.  I am sure your camper is nice inside and to keep that appearance, why not dry out the bad spot, KILLZ it, then install some new luan or osb floor on top of the old one. Just dont cut anything out.
