RV Repair: AC ground, model rm, safety switch

Hi;

My question is weir do you connect the ground wire on the fridge, it is an older Model RM 211 B, I tryed just grounding the fridge base but the fridge does not work.  It works on the 110 and on the gas.

Any suggestions would be gretly appreciated.

The ground if green is safety ground.  It doesnt actually cause the fridge to operate.  The black wire is HOT and the white wire is NEUTRAL, which is like a ground, but carries power.  If the fridge is not working, the first thing to do  is make sure the outlet is working.  Plug something in the outlet and see if it works.  If so, then the fridge may have a problem with the motor.  Maybe low on ammonia (coolant) and safety switch is tripped.  Does it work on gas???
