RV Repair: coachmen popup, push power, little muscle

Question
i went camping using my popup. when i went to raise it up it would not go all the way up on the tongue end. it liked about 2 inches, the other end worked fine..i propped it up so i could camp. when i went to crank it down, the tongue end would not come down. my camper is still in the mountains. i could not find access to see what the problem is. i need to get it down to haul it to  a repair shop.. do you have any suggestion. thanks,, jackie

Answer
This is a tough one! It sounds like a cable snapped or jumped off a pully. You can try making sure that the top is level, start cranking down and use a little push power, carefully of corse, and have someone crank down at the same time. It should go down unless the cable is wedged off track. The cables either run the perimiter underneath the trailer or inside. If inside you have to remove access panels and cupboards, which can be a pain. But hopefully when lowering it evenly and using a little muscle it should go down, at least enough to move it to get it fixed.
