RV Repair: dripping toilet in 1992 Class C Jayco RV, rv camper, slow drip

Question
I have a slow drip when the water pressure is engaged in my
1992 RV.  I replaced the connector to the toilet for the
water line, but I think it may be coming from inside or
above the attachment for the water line.  Should I just get
a new toilet?

Thanks

Answer
No need for a new toilet, depending on the style and type of toilet there is a water valve above where the water line attaches, you could remove the toilet and take it outside(there might still be water in it) turn it upside down and remove the 4 screws that attach the cover that hides the valve above the water inlet connection. Once the screws are out and the water valve is exposed it's pretty easy to take out the valve, is is attaches with two screws that you can easly identify from the underside. It could be a bad seal or a warn valve but it's easier just to replace the valve, and cheaper! Just for piece of mind I like to use thread tape when putting the water line back on......and if you take the old valve to any RV/camper dealer they will be able to find you a replacement, around $30, much less expensive than a new toilet.
