RV Repair: awning replacement, window awnings, rv center

My husband and I are new to rving. We bought a camper 2005 Salem LE that did not come with an awning or window awnings. When I search for the awning (we mesured 20' from where the previous clips were) we don't get a price for a complete package and installation is said to be easy. My Husband is a carpenter by trade but neither of us have any experience with rvs. Where can we get a complete awning and installation package? Are window awnings necessary? Is there a certain brand to stay away from or one in particular that is good? What kind of pricing can we expect? We think dealer was not fairly priced.

Well welcome to RVing, Umm no window awnings are not necessary but some people like them, as for the main awning, They are sometimes pricey. Where are you located? I would Call Erics RV Center in virginia Beach Va. They can give you a price and order and have your awning drop shipped to your house, that is going to be your best bet, they can help you decide what one is right for you, trust me, you can reach them at (757) 473-9383 and if anything you can get another price to compare to the one you already have to get a better idea of cost.
