RV Repair: A/C compressor, annie, emerson

Question
Hi, what do I need to do about my Emerson quiet cool 1100?
The fan runs just fine, but the compressor will not lick in. It will humm for a few seconds then stop over and over.

Claude, It sounds to me like the compressor is locked up, and the only way to try and get it unlocked is with a annie. If you don't have one and don't know anyone with one then I suggest replacing the unit. Even if you are able to free it up it doesn't mean that it will last any time. This is an old unit and I recommend replacing it. I hope this helps, Bill
