RV Repair: Dometic Refrigerator, dometic refrigerator, model number

Question
I have a Dometic Refrigerator model number 2190.  I recently replaced the thermostat.  It worked good for a little while.  Now when we start it up, it gets cold for a little while then it warms up.  It only stays cold a couple of hours before it begins to warm up.  What do you recommend for us to do to fix the problem?

Answer
Lisa, I am not familiar with this particular model, so I will give you my best advice. It sounds like this may be a single door model. In either case when it starts to warm up what is going on with the burner? Is it on or has it gone off? You said you replaced the T-Stat. Does this model have a control board on the rear? If it in fact does then you can disconnect the T-Stat and it should run full out. That is unless it is one of the newer models, the past couple of years, then when you disconnect it will shut down. I am sorry that I am not familiar with this particular model but if you describe what it looks like such as where to turn it on and off and where the controls are I will have a much better answer for you. I hope this helps, Bill
