RV Repair: travel trailer structural repair, aluminum frame, filon

Question
I recently purchased a 1999 coachman 246 and have discovered some serious water damage.  I Have removed all the interior of the front room and most of the interior wallboard and insulation.  Most of what appears to be a luan style board between the outer skin and the aluminum frame is rotted out.  Is it possible to remove the outer skin (I think it's filan?) and reattach it to the trailer?

Thanks for the help.

Answer
Ron, To tell you whether you can or can't would be hard. If you can get all the luan off when you have it off then you should be able to glue a new piece on, but if you can't then you will want to buy new filon that will come with the backing on. You will need a few people to do this with you depending on how long it is. When you reattach the filon on you will want to use some bumpers attached to the bottom to hold it in place while gluing.
