RV Repair: Floor under holding tanks, shower drains, holding tanks

Question
The floor under the fresh water and holding tanks in my Class A Tradewinds has started to come apart due to a stand pipe vent cover being broken for some time, the cover has been replaced but the floor is bad and should be replace. I am good at fixing stuff and have the tools but need some help with procedure to remove the tanks. A diagram of the system would help also. Can you help?

Answer
Gary, I am sorry that I don't have a diagram for your coach. Look at it this way though. Most manufactures make access to get into the tanks as they can be troublesome at times. If you have to remove any of the holding tanks you will need to remove the things that attach to the tanks. Things like the toilet if the black tank, or the sink or shower drains if it is the gray tank. Usually venting pipes are even screwed into the tanks. This is going to be a difficult job and one that you will need to line out what you want to do and how to do it. I hope that makes sense to you. Even draw things if you think you might not remember how they are. I hope this helps, Bill
