RV Repair: changing inner tanks, hot water tank, time owner

MY hot water tank split over the winter and I want to get a replacement tank. I have the G6A-3 heater.  Is it difficult to replace and what tools are required.  First time owner.

Jeff, If you can get a replacement tank for that model it is going to be pretty tough to do. There are clips that hold it in and they are sometimes hard to get off and back on. This might be something you want to pull out and look at first to see if you think you can do it. The tanks are not cheap and most of the time in my experience anyway people usually have the water heater replaced. I have replaced the tanks before but it has been awhile and I remember that it wasn't always easy. I hope this helps, Bill
