RV Repair: Coleman AV, pop up camper, ceiling assembly

Question
I have a Coleman AC unit on my pop up camper that does not work at all.  I plug the camper in and everything else works but the AC unit. It makes no sound or anything, it's just dead.  The model # is 9333-871.  Could you please tell me some things to check for.

Donny, The first thing you should check for is 110 power to the unit. It will be beneath the ceiling assembly. If it is a manual unit which I am guessing that it is, then if there is power there and nothing happens you will need to get a rotary switch or a Start capacitor and replace it. Chances are that the power is lost before it gets there. But if it is there pull the top off and see if it is getting to the start capacitor. If nothing at all is happening my best guess would be to find where the power is being lost. Although I am not always right. I hope that this helps, Bill
