RV Repair: RV Refrigerator, rv refrigerator, spray insulation

Question
We have a Norcold 323 refrigerator in our 2006 tent trailer.  The previous
owners made a small crack & hole (about 1 cm) in the interior of the refrigerator
approximately in the center of the base.  As well as the break in the liner there
is a little damage to the insulation underneath - is there a way we can fix this?
The unit otherwise is working OK.

Answer
Bridget, I don't see much of this sort of repair in this industry. One thing I can say is that you can get spray foam to fill any holes you might have in it. This should be sprayed in and left to set until it is done, then you can get some kind of plastic repair kit, probably from a automotive parts place or repair/ painting shop. Just ask them what they would recommend for this type of plastic repair. If you are unable to find anything suitable for your purpose you can also just put a piece of aluminum tape over the spray insulation. I hope this helps. Thanks, Bill
