RV Repair: RV AC mark 3 roof air, gauge reading, tap fittings

Question
I have replaced the compressor, and added tap fittings.  Want to recharge not sure of proper feon, I do believe it is R22.  But I don't know gauge reading should be when it is full.  I you could return an answer with my problem, I would love you too death.

Answer
D French, I believe that there should be an amount of freon for the system marked on the compressor. Usually it is about a pound give or take a little. If you give me make and model of air I can usually tell you how much you will need to put in. You don't go by the gauge unless you know how to be able to understand the difference in temp and the readings you will want. So the best way for you to do this is to use a scale and weigh it out into the air. Thanks, Bill
