Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Bolen Yard Edger, gas lawn edger, briggs stratton engine

I have owned a Bolens Gas Lawn Edger, 3.5HP Briggs & Stratton engine for about a year.  I have a heck of a time getting it started and have since the first day I owned it.  I think I have started it 5 time.  Once it starts it runs well.
