RV Repair: Domestic 3 way refridge, dc sources, auto mode

Question
AC and DC sources for my Domestic 3 way refrigerator do not work in my 2004 Starcraft Centennial 3606.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Kevin, What model is the refer. You might want to test the elements for continuity to see that they are good. If they are you should check the main power board to see if the fuses have blown. The way these work is when you have it plugged into 110 vac and in the auto mode it should read the voltage coming in and automatically switch to the best available power source. Is this a motorhome? I am guessing that it is as they only usually put 3 way refers in things with alternators. If it was me I would try and stay away from the 12 volt side all together. Make sure that you have 110 vac at the plug the refer plugs in to. If not check to see that the G.F.I. in the bathroom is good as this is usually where they get the 110 power from. From there I will need to know what happens when you turn it on, like does the reset light come on. If it does then the board is probably bad and needs replaced, but if it is I recommend using a Dinosaur "Micro P-711" board when replacing the manufacture boards. Thanks, Bill
