RV Repair: replacing cabinets, moe moe, lag bolts

Question
I have a 1989 pace arrow, and there is some rot in the walls and ceiling.  The cabinets are starting to come loose from the ceiling.  I was thinking of hanging lag bolts through the ceiling and attaching the cabinets to the ceiling this way.  I was thinking I should put a strip/piece of metal on the roof to reinforce where I put the bolts and then redo the roof.  Is this worth the effort or should I just reinforce the cabinets from the bottom with some good looking columns?
thanks in advance
Moe

Answer
Moe, I say this would depend on whether you intend on keeping this coach. If you do plan on keeping it then I would do this the right way and put new studs where the rotten ones are. This is the hardest way to go but if you put lag bolts through the walls and ceiling then you will have trouble in it wanting to leak easier on you. It is always best to do things the right way then the wrong way if you plan on keeping it. Thanks, Bill
