RV Repair: RV Roof Placement, rv service center, rubber roofing

Question
I have decided to replace my travel trailers roof. It is a 2001 tahoe 28 foot toy box. I am not able to take it to a RV service center. I am capable i believe and will also be repairing some wood rot. My question is the current roof is of the rubber sheeting style and i am wondering where i can buy this material and if adhesive is needed what type to get. What type of roof material is recommended and NOT recommended? The same with the rubber adhesive. Any help is appreciated.

Answer
Darryl, You can buy the rubber roofing from any r.v. dealer or repair shop and when you get it they can also get a component kit that comes with the glue, tape and Dicor that you will need. You will want to measure the width of the material you want to put down as it comes in 8' and 9' wide. Remember that too much width is better than not enough. If you have any trouble getting any of this let me know and I will do what I can to see if I can get it and have it dropped shipped to you. Thanks, Bill
P.S. When you pull the rubber off the roof will more than likely be covered with the glue from the first time. If you pull too much of the wood off or there is too much glue you will want to overlay it with some luan.
