RV Repair: moisture problem, moisture problem, vapor barrier

Question
I have a travel trailer that gets moisture under the floor above the membrane under the trailer were the insulation is.
I found the water when I cut in under the trailer to repair the awning bracket.  I use DR_I-Z-AIR pellets now.
What can I do about the moisture?

( cut vents under the trailer or get a dehumidifier.)

Thanks, Glenn

Answer
Glenn, How much moisture was under there? If it was so much that alot of water ran out then I would say that you have a leak somewhere letting the water in. It can run from the top down so you should look at the entire coach. That vapor barrier is there to keep the moisture out and should do just that. You may also have a fresh water leak, yes a very slow one even. Turn on your water pump and when it pressures up keep listening to see if it cycles. If so you have a leak more than likely. I wouldn't recommend putting vents under the coach or leaving holes there because you will have animals getting under there and building homes. I would do some real good checking and find where the moisture is getting in from. Thanks, Bill
