RV Repair: Class C replacement of wood in bunk area., tioga arrow, aluminum skin

Question
We have recently purchased a 1990 Class C Tioga Arrow.  It only has 48K miles.  It has a leak in the bunk compartment.  I have found some help in local shops and am very familar with wood work.  I am having some trouble removing the plywood from the aluminum exterior so that the plywood can be replaced.  Do you have any suggestions with regard to this project?

Answer
Bud, At times it is more cost effective to replace the metal if it takes too long to remove the wood that is there. You have to figure your time is worth something. Remember that the aluminum skin does not have a memory so every time you bend chip or do anything to it you will notice what happened. You should be able to match the metal and can order it from a local shop. You might want to take a piece in with you so you can get the same pattern that you have. One thing I might say is to use Liquid Roof on the outside where ever possible because this product has a warranty and has been for me the only product on the market that I have not had even one complaint from. I hope that this helps, Bill
