Question
I have a Winnebago Elandan, 1988, with a 454 engine.
I had change all three battary and after that i can't resive any power from the generator(engine). I can't start up the Onan generator either, i don't get any ignition power. Help?

Answer
I don't quite understand this are you not getting power from the generator or no power to the generator? What ignition power are you referring to the engine ignition or generator ignition. In any case it sounds to me like you pulled all the battery cables off all 3 batteries without trying to make sure of the placement of them or marking to be sure they are all installed right. Are all 3 batteries 12 volt? Or is one 12 volt and two 6 volt? This will also determine how they need to be run. In most cases with the larger battery cables you can find the ground wires using an ohm meter and checking for continuity between the cable and the ground or frame I meant to say. When you find the ones that have continuity they are usually ground wires but you should try to see where they hook to be it a motor or to a ground. I have been working as a R.V. Tech for long enough to see some bad damage because of the wiring to the batteries. It will be best to try and remember as much as you can and write things down while testing to make it clearer for you. At least that works with me.If you could be a little more definite on what is happening I will try and help you with a better answer and will help as best I can. Thank you, Bill
