RV Repair: 06 jayco RV Tongue mount Battery, inline fuse, tank levels

Question
I was wondering how to hook the battery up on this thing. There are two white cable leads and one black lead tied in with a green lead with an inline fuse. I tried several combo's but all I get is an arc. The control panel on the inside that shows tank levels, lp or elec H2O heater and water pump will not work (or light up). I was told, the battery must be hooked up to complete the circuit, is this right?

Hi Jody. With that many colors I would try to trace the ground wires back to the frame. Note witch one they are and hook those to the Neg. post on the battery. The others will be your hot leads. Its the only way to do it. If the unit is plugged in or if any lights are on, the amp draw will cause a small amount of arcing. Good Luck
