RV Repair: buying, quarter ton truck, t rush

Question
I know nothing about buying a trailer that a truck pulls or a motorhome that you drive....So question:  I guess I want to buy a truck that pulls a small trailer that has a shower in it, kitchen...WHAT KIND OF TRUCK DO I GET?  What kind of trailer to pull do I get?  The cheapest way possible...EITHER NEW OR USED.......New what would that go for?  used what would they both go for???  Just rough estimates are fine.....is new the better way to go on both of these items...?  Should I buy a bigger truck in case I upgrade to a bigger pull-trailer?  What make model year of truck and trailer are decent?  Whatever you can tell me, let me know......I am coming into some money and want to buy this..THANKS..ONLY ME AND MY HUSBAND WILL USE IT.

Answer
Hi Angie, Check out www.newrver.com I could talk for hours on this subject. That web sight is loaded full of good info.
The first question you want to ask yourself is...Do I want to drive heavy and pull light? (Motorhome pulling car.) Or, Do I want to drive light and pull heavy? (Truck pulling a trailer.) It much easier to drive the motorhome to your camp sight and disconnect the car. Than it is to pull in and have to set up a trailer. But! The motorhome will cost you more.
New Or Used. You are first timers. You may want to rent an
RV and take a short trip to be sure that RVing is your cup of noddles.
It is a Fact that you get what you pay for when buying a RV. With that said...I Feel it is better to buy a more expensive used RV, rather than a cheep new RV. The Cheapest way to buy, is to buy from a private seller. But, since you are new. I would buy from a good dealer. Look for a used 60 day warrantee. (Bumper to bumper.) You want a good Walk thru to show you how to use it.
If you decide to pull, get a three quarter ton truck. (Diesel.) You can pull most trailers with that.
