RV Repair: Delamination, interior wood, delam

Question
I have a 1997 leprechaun. Under the window in the dining area, there is delamination on the outside and some wood damage on the inside. I have cut the paneling out and removed the majority of the interior wood that was damaged. I thought about adding a stud in the wall for support since there are none. Suggestions? Also, should I suck up the cost and get a certified tech to reinstall the window or would it be sufficient to reinstall it myself?

Jamie..Hello
Sounds like your on the right track and a brave soul to attack this sort of problem. Make sure your water leak causing the "delam" is not coming from the roof and not just the window. Many have under estimated have tricky water can be.
You can add anything to that wall that will fit, but as you know you can't attach good wood to bad wood.
Once the bad is remove and you can find something to fasten to and some sort of insulation like "TEC" foam and you'll be fine.
As far as the window goes, your the person for the job. Use common sense and some good mastic to seal between the window and the skin, trim it out with silicone, then water test.
