RV Repair: Water Pump ...Ugh!, rv antifreeze, georgie boy

Question
I've had a 96 Georgie Boy for about 4 months. Hurt my back and got real sick during the first cold spell in Chattanooga...so I only drained water from holding tanks and poured RV antifreeze in drains. If i turn the water pump on, i can hear it but get no action (but water does come when i'm hooked up to my city water). I don't see any leaks. Think i just need a new pump?

Answer
Hi John. Water pumps can cause even the most seasoned technician  headaches. If you have a valve out of position, then the pump can't build pressure. You will have to find the owners manual and ck how the valves need to be for typical usage. Other than that if you know your valves are set. Then the pump may be bad. Good Luck.
