RV Repair: RV Refrig wont lite Same as Bobs, loud thump, gas valve

Hi,
I read your answer to Bob but I wanted to check with you if reference to a loud thump noise when I try to lite the refrigerator.  It sounds like the gas is sort of loading to ignite but then releases.  Would there be another area to check?  Thanks very much for your assistance.

Hi Tom, What you are hearing is the gas igniting. While you hold the gas valve in and push in the ignitor, you will ignite the gas. In most cases the force of the blast will blow out the flame. Try pushing in the gas valve and push the piezo ignitor as fast as you can. This will keep the gas from building up. Give it a try. Let me know how it turns out. Good Luck.
