Question duo therm mod. 591516.501 in 1997 komfort fifth wheel , was working when first bought trailer a couple of months ago, then would turn on ,fan would run normal ,but would make a moaning sound and blow the circuit breaker. Have you seen this , and can it be repaired?

Yes, I have heard of the same situation. I have gotten quite a few request, very similar to the way you have described this problem.
Jeff, here is what I think is happening with your air conditioning based on what you have told me. The condenser fan motor, up on the roof, most likely has worn bearings within it, it may run a minute or a little longer, then get hot and seize up. When this happens the compressor remains running, allowing the hot gas in the condenser to obtain extremely high operating pressures, which makes the compressor work extremely hard. The amperage climbs very high, quickly. When the amperage exceeds the circuit breaker limits, it then trips out. You can have someone diagnose problem to make sure what is wrong, then replace the motor, if defective. Many times to get this replaced, it may cost half of what a new unit with a warranty, would cost.
