RV Repair: RV Roof Repair, air conditioning leaks, water leaks

Question
Dear Garry,

We are having a roof leak by the front air conditioning unit and mostly by the very front air vent. This is a 1989 Bounder. However, I'd been on the roof trying to fix the leak which I thought might be by the front seam. On it I put eternabound tape and It did not work. How do you fix the vent and air conditioning leaks? Please help.

Answer
First, water is a strange being of sorts.  Just because water is coming in at one point inside, does not mean that is where it is coming in from the outside.  Many times we have chased water leaks for several repair attempts until we find the actual cause.  Try looking in places that you would not expect to see water from.
