RV Repair: Dometic not working, prowler trailer, rv trailer

DH and I are newbie camper owners. We purchased a 1979 Prowler Trailer with a Dometic EOMITC, model #W8E/G fridge. Seems to not want to cool. Tryed both gas and Elec, but nothing. Cooling unit gets hot with propane, only warm when plugged into electrical. We are sitting level. Help, what should we be looking at as our problem and how to trouble shoot. Please help a couple newbies out!

Hi Sharon:
Thwere is only one cooling system in RV/trailer refrigerators. There may be different heat sources but only one system. The amonia cooling system is not serviceable so if it heat box gets warm and it does not cool you need a new one. Sorry.
