RV Repair: TT Front Window Cover, highway travel, window frame

Question
Our front window cover flipped up and bent during highway travel on our last trip. The aluminum cover is bent and the holding rivets(slide locks) are stretched. My questions are can the cover be purchased seperately? Do I need to remove the window to repair the rivets on the slider portion of the window frame?

Answer
It depends on how old your unit is. Some "Rockguards" are built in to the shape of the window opening on the front cap. Others just fit right over the window and are not recessed into the cap. Either kind can be purchased, but if you have the kind that is recessed into the cap, then you will probably have to go through the parts department at the manufactuer of your unit. Again. that would depend on how old it is.
I hope I understood your question. If not, let me know.
