Saturn Repair: My friends saturn wont start, scott kunkel, kunkel scott

Hi, my friend owns a 2002 Saturn SL. I think it's a 1.4 liter engine? Well to make a long story short, the vehicle has over 100,000 miles and has had no problems. Today he drove it to the gas station and when he went to leave it had no power to the starter. The car has power, lights turn on everything but you can't even hear the starter at all. Oh another thing, the car is a manual, can you push start that car?

 Yes you can push start that vehicle.  It sounds like that starter is going out.  Get under the vehicle the next time that this happens, and beat the starter body with a hammer (I'm serious).  If the starter suddenly works, I'd replace it.
