Driver's window operates erratically only at times. when it does it the window goes up 2/3 of the way then goes down to 1/3 of the way up. When switched is again pressed has to be held and window goes up to 2/3 and stops.  Have to switch again to fully close. Only does this about half or a little less of the time. When it works, it works. Door panel was removed by body shop to replace left mirror. Mirror works fine. They suggested t may be the switch. Would a loose connection or the such be at fault. When it malfunctions it does it in exactly the same way each time.

The motor sounds like it is bad. Or possibly pinch protection is being activated. The activation of pinch protection is when the motor gets bogged down of has resistance from free play. The motor may be getting weak or the window regulator may be bent. A major problem is dirty window seals. Clean the seals and lube them a little with silicone dry clear spray. This may help if it is a dirty seal problem. Good luck.
