Saturn Repair: 2003 Saturn L200 not starting, 2003 saturn l200, saturn l200

Question
I have a 2003 Saturn L200 with a manual transmission was driving on the highway and felt car had intermittant loss of power with sporadic returns of power almost as if no fuel was going into engine even with accelerator pressed fully and downshifting.  Car after a few hundered yards turned off and did not restart.  A strange clicking noise occurs on the engine block which appears to come out of the area that the air intake enters the engine block when the ignition is turned on and then again when it is turned to off as well as A/C which is electronic turns on after attempting to start vehicle.  When the hazards were put on during towing the vehicles interior electronics including clock, temperature gauge, milage....etc. would flash when brakes were pressed.  Do you have any idea what may be going wrong?  The vehicle was taken into the shop early in my ownership of the vehicle within first year of purchase for a faulty ECM and replacement of fuel injectors as a part of a recall does this have anything to do with my problem now.

Answer
Lorenzo,
I am familiar with the recall that affected your vehicle.  I don't think that's what is wrong with it right now.  As far as you intermittent blinking lights inside your vehicle, that is probably a BCM, Body Control Module.  Infact, I'll bet you a dollar that's what it is.

Anyway, have the catylitic converter checked.  The recall that your vehicle went through probably had a technician replace your spark plugs and reprogram your ECM.  If the recall wasn't done soon enough, however, the catylitic converter could have been damaged by raw fuel being introduced into the exhaust.  If your converter is bad, it will be replaced under emissions warranty, provided you are not yet past 80,000 miles.  Hope this helps,

Chris
