Saturn Repair: Fluids Light blinking, autozone auto parts, radiator cap

Question
On my 1996 Saturn SL standard, my fluids light blinks on about once every 5 seconds or so.  The oil, battery, and coolant are fine.  The car appears to be running well.  It started about a month ago.  I recently got the EGR valve replaced when the Check Engine light was on.  But the fluids light still blinks.

Answer
Hi Scott,
I am not sure why it is coming on BUT, it may be that the Plastic Radiator Cap need replacement. They seem to go bad at about 80,000 and start letting the coolant loose pressure in the resevoir tank. It is also possiblethat the sensor (one of them) is bad.  Since it is intermittant, that is my guess...but it wouldbe difficult to tell which one is going bad.  AutoZone Auto parts stores will put the diagnostic code reader on the car for free...them you can find out what sensor it is. THe plastic Radiator Cap is about $15 at autoparts stores.

Thansk for asking,
