Saturn Repair: 1998 saturn sl2, saturn of southgate, saturn dealers

My vehicle is surging considerably when I drive and will not accelerate very well past 20 - 30 miles per hour. Can you give me some advice. Is it the fuel filter or fuel pump..

While it could be, I don't no for sure. I think it could also be the EGR Valve. It is a tough call as there are many things that could cause the symptom,
Also, a sensor could be telling the computer to over richen (I know that sounds backwards) the fuel mixture or adjust the spark timing incorrectly. Sorry I can't help you better define the problem.
Some Local Saturn Dealers are very happy to offer advice...others, (like Saturn of Southgate in Michigan, is very stubborn and not friendly.  A call to your local dealer may give you an easy answer for free.
