hi yes it should comeon with the ac ...but does it go past 3/4 on the gauge? the fan doesnt come on until 220 so if the t stat is opening to long the fan wont come on ...what to do is unplug the fan put power and ground to it see if it works.ifso u may have to put a scanner onit to read the actule temp of the vechicle.dont forget the gauge is just a reference it isnt always right.
THANKS KEN--- I CHANGED THE SESOR AND THE FAN WORKS. THINK ABOUT THAT IDLE PROBLEM.IF YOU NEED MORE INFO LET ME KNOW. I WILL BE DRIVING IT A DISTANCE SUNDAY SO I WILL WATCH IT CAREFULLY.

hi thats good u got ypur fan going... now the idle problem what were the symptoms and how low was it ?
WE DROVE THE SATURN FOR 1-2 HOURS AT 70-80 MPH DURING DRIVE WHEN YOU LET OFF ON GAS AND THEN GO BACK ON GAS THERE WOULD BE A DELAY OF ACCELERATE. THEN WHEN GOING OFF I-95 AND TO A LIGHT --PUT IN CLUTCH AND IT WOULD DIE. COULD THIS BE THE CAD INVERTER?

Hi is the check engine light on?or on before.. Its most likly not your catalytic comverter unless u have a lack in power and a sulfer smell..
NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BUT IT DID COME ON TWICE BEFORE BUT NEVER SINCE

Hi ok what u have to do is jump terminal A @B they will be in the aldl terminal under the dash the rectangle one ,,,they should be the two side by side on the top right just use a cotter o=pin or piece of wire and then turn the key on and count the flashes on the check engine light it will be in short sequences then a longer pause that will be the next number and it is alwayes a two digit number.. any questions let me know.

MY LIGHT HAS NOT COME ON FOR OVER A MONTH.

Hi first on i2 12 that means u are in diagnostic mode
next is 13 02sensor problem usually a bad ground or lazy 02 sensor
next is 32 which is bad egr switch which is inside the egr valve usually faulty egr..
before i changed the egr and o2 the car will usally die coming to a stop also the hesitation when you slow down and then speed up. i have changed the egr and o2. have not noticed any service engine--- any ideas? my phone is 828-835-3838, SAM

Hi well it maybe the cat usually if there is no engine problem the cat doest plug but u have had a bad egr and o2 so may have plugged the cat can u disconnect the exaust infrount of the cat? or is the o2 infrount of it?ifso take it out and go for a drive u will get a code dont worry about it just see if the power is back.
I WILL JUST REPLACE THE CAT, HAS A LOT OF MILES AND IT DOES SOUND A LITTLE THROATY.

Hi well that saya the o2 sensor indicates a rich exaust maybe a leeking injector or to high of fuel pressure bad tps or map sensor also check the charcoal cannister to see if there is fuel in it there should just be fumes.. wow this is a hard one to do i wish i had the car here..it may be easyer..well good luck and let me know
