Saturn Repair: over heating, cotter pin, 1994 saturn sl2

1994 saturn sl2 overheats fan will not come on

Hi well usually the temp sensor is gone but u need to check for power and groud at the fan plug when the car is hot to see.the bset way is if the car has a/c turn it on does the fan come on? if not wire to the fan are faulty if so the sensor is likly at fault..or u can take a cotter pin and crose the aldl terminal #1and2 with the key on the fan should come on.if not wiring problem if it does the sensor is at fault if u need better instructions let me know
