Saturn Repair: Cooling fan, sturn, fan motor

Dear Ken,  

I have a 1995 Sturn SC2 and the cooing fan stopped working.  The engine runs at a good temp when it's going down the road but when it idles the temp. rises.  I realize that this could the result of a few things.  Either the relay has gone out or the fan motor has gone out.  Where do I start?  How do I know for sure which it is?  Is this a pretty basic fix?  Your answers would be much appreciated.  Thanks, Tony Davis

Hi the first thing is that how high does the temp go ... do u have A\C? if so does the fan come on? if not find the colant temp sensor and unplug it the fan should come on if not the fan is most likly at fault but first always check the fuse and give the fan a spin with the engine off to make sure it isnt siezed.. any more questions let me know
