Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawn tractor

Question
I have a Scotts brand s2048 yard tractor. I can mow for 30-45
min. then i get a small deceleration,then my mower blades just
stop turning. The next day the blades will work fine for about the same amount of time, then they stop again. A guy told me
that its the electric clutch ( pto) . Could he be right? or maybe
you think it might be something else?

How old is the battery?  Do you know if the charging system is properly working?

Have you disconnected the battery cables and cleaned the battery terminals and cable ends with a wirebrush?  I have fixed a lot of weird problems by cleaning electrical connections.
