Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): troy-bilt mustang just quite

I have a Troy-Bilt Mustang ZT50 and was mowing when it just died. I also do not have any power at the hour meter.

Is the battery bad?

Did you dis-connect the battery cables and clean the battery terminals and cable ends with a wirebrush?  I have a lot of mowers just by dis-connecting the battery cables and clean the battery terminals and battery cable ends.
