Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda EU200i Generator

Question
I have a Honda EU2000i Generator with a GX100 sereies engine.  frame # EAAJ-2427788.  The generator was a hard start after it sat with the gas in too long (2.5 months) without being started and run.  It did have stabil in the gas.  While I'm no expert, I do have mechanical ability.  I took the carb apart to clean it and when I put it back together I had a small 1/4 long spring left over (like a ball point pen spring only wider and smaller in length) that I didn't remove.  I assume it fell out of the carb from somewhere.  I tried to find a schematic on the carb but had trouble.  I don't remember a spring being on the throttle return or as a tentioner somewhere else, but again I think it fell out before I got a good look.  I thought maybe on the drain screw at the bottom of the bowl?  Any ideas.
Thanks
Bruce

Answer
Some use a spring to hold the choke shaft in place so it does open and close on its own.

Look around the choke shaft and see if there is hole in that area for a spring to fit.

Look at this video and pay attention to the choke shaft...you will see a spring sticking up holding the choke shaft.
