Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Husqvarna 340 gasket material

Hi Eric!  I pulled apart my 2005 Husqvarna 340 saw and replaced the piston.  I noticed that there was what looked like a silicone gasket between the crankcase and the cylinder.  I have not been able to find a silicone gasket material rated for use with fuel.  Would you happen to know what type of material I can use?

Did you get a new gasket?  A gasket should seal just fine but you could use Copper SPRAY-A-GASKET Hi Temp Adhesive Sealant or ULTRA COPPER Hi-Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker.

Never used with on a jug gasket but it not might hurt.

What color was the old silicone?
