QUESTION: When I raise and lower the blade deck the engine raises up-and-down is that proper

ANSWER: Not usually.  What model do you have?  Have you checked to make sure the engine mounting/retaining bolts are tight?

Looked at the parts diagram and did not see any engine spacers...some units used to have spacers.

Take a look and the engine mounting and make sure all 4 engine mounting bolts are tight.

Let me know if you find any loose engine mounting bolts.
